Adorable PAIR, c1930 French GRE-POIR jointed cloth dolls in vintage outfits

Here are TWO of the most adorable and
rare,
French made, antique circa 1927-early 1930s,
Eugenie
GRE-POIR
, toddler
cloth dolls that you will find. Manufactured by
Gre-Poir, Inc., Paris, France
they
are
difficult to find. S
imilar to the La Venus dolls
they
resemble some of the famous Lenci dolls.
Standing, 17" tall, they each have the sweetest faces with adorable, well sculpted, molded and painted features with
swivel necks, distinctive chins
and the prettiest, large painted
brown
,
side-glancing eyes
with hi-lites, long painted upper and lower eyelashes, light brown painted eyebrows, eyeshadow, heart-shaped mouths, rosy cheeks and hand sewn wigs of
of thick, light brown and blonde hair
. These charming models,
"Fifi" & "Lili"
,
have five-piece, jointed cloth bodies as shown in
"Cloth Dolls"-Judd
reference books. They have the distinctive rounded, mitt-type cloth hands with individually stitched fingers and separate thumbs and body construction exactly as described in book references with slightly shaped knees. They each wear cute antique dresses, (one homemade?)  adorable coat & matching bonnet & shoes (needing underwear & one without shoes) . They are in good, very clean condition with no damages although the girl with blonde hair shows wear to the tip of her nose and upper lip and slight water mark, no repairs, no repaint and no odors as they are from a smoke free home.
